With over 20 years of expertise in risk and compliance management, Robert has successfully led transformation initiatives across financial services, professional services, business-to-business, and public sector organizations. Robert combines a deep understanding of highly regulated industries with a hands-on, collaborative approach to driving enterprise and regulatory change, including strategy development, policy and process design, systems and data planning, stakeholder engagement, and market analysis for growth. His expertise spans the full spectrum of GRC operations, from the development of frameworks to their implementation and ongoing optimization.
Robert has collaborated with both Canadian and international organizations, advising management and experts on developing and implementing GRC frameworks across business lines and functions. Robert excels at engaging all stakeholders, including clients, employees, vendors, regulators, and shareholders, ensuring alignment and driving practical, operational solutions that address both strategic objectives and regulatory requirements.
Robert’s background in regulation, operations and financial services laid the foundation for his GRC career. After gaining on-the-ground experience in the banking industry where he oversaw risk management practices and compliance frameworks, Robert worked in corporate and public affairs. In these roles, he worked with key sectors influenced by complex enterprise issues and diverse stakeholder interests, applying his program expertise to solve real-world problems and drive change at the organizational level.
